ok not the best picture, but it will have to do.
I made it to Middlefaire here in Texas this Saturday. Gave me a chance to "Test Drive" my works. In this I've made the chemise, the bodice and ties, the green skirt, and the golden yellow skirt (peeking out on the right)..the bloomers (not seen, but will post a pic later) and the brown pouch. All came through quite well...no split seams...no frayed edges...no lost grommets...no open closures. I will be changing out the boning int he bodice later...it had the "plastic" boning that I got from Hancocks...I prefer the cable ties or steel...since I already have precut steel, I think I will put that in. I am quite pleased with the finished results..since this is my first complete garb that made it out into the public eye. I did get some compliments on it. SOOOOOOOO...Thanks to all those kind words and words of wisdom and support. |
